On the 5th and 6th of November Webiz online conference took place. One of the special guests was one of our rock-star speakers – Keith Ng who joined directly from his home in Singapore.
Keith is the founder of Gametize, a gamification platform created to motivate behaviors through challenges and rewards such as recruitment, learning & development, marketing, and community advocacy.
Thanks to the great success of his idea, Keith is known as one of the most influential people in the world in the field of gamification today.
At the conference, Keith took part in an interesting discussion regarding an even more interesting topic – Futurology. He answered several questions, but the one that we found the most intriguing was about an imaginary scenario: “What if we wake up one day and realize we are all part of one giant game?”
However, Keith just smiled at that statement saying that he lives by the motto “Life is one big game” and that we were playing even in that given moment. For example, most of us are drawn to social media more each day and more people do things with one goal in mind – to get as many likes and comments as possible. Also, we often behave in ways that are expected from us, not those we find the most natural. Thus, if we think about it, our reality today doesn’t differ much from that scenario.
